Greetings ~

I couldn't find very much information or photographs for Elise Revit. However, if a person ever deserved to be remembered on a blog, she is that person. Elise was a nun during World War II who became a Mother Superior and actually hid weapons in her convent to use against the Nazis. She was found out and arrested and sent to a concentration camp where she was forced to do hard labor.
When a group of women were selected to be taken to the gas chamber and put to death, Elise voluntarily went in place of a young mother with a baby. More information needs to be dug up about this woman. Many nuns during the war defied the Nazis and did so when faced with their own deaths. The Nazis didn't care who they murdered. If someone did not conform to their orders, they were killed. And this went for nuns as well as anyone else.
This blog is short but it is dedicated to a woman who walked to a horrible death taking the place of a mother. You can't get any braver than that. May she rest in peace.
